Why not take a refreshing hike along the Morrill Trail, and camping is available at Lee Hwy Campground. A large amount of rainfall falls at Bristol Reservoir; July is the wettest month with most rain, and October on the other hand
is the driest. If you come at the right time of year, Holston River offers some good whitewater; Bristol Reservoir is right by the Short Spur Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bristol Reservoir;
The Lonesome Pine Trail is a magnificent local trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Watauga.
