    What a nice lake Briery Branch Reservoir is. This lake is so wonderful. Why not stop by Briery Branch Dam since you're here, and fine hiking is available along the Big Hollow Trail. Briery Branch Reservoir gets a common amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July while January is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
Glide down the rapids of Briery Branch in a kayak. There's so much to do here at Briery Branch Reservoir
 
   that you need to camp here for a while, Stokesville Park Recreational is a pleasant place for that. A good nearby hotel is Howard Johnson Express Inn Staunton, and if you came to camp North River Campground is a great place to do that. During the days of summer at Briery Branch Reservoir highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Briery Branch Reservoir  
               during the winter typically descend into the 10's.
There are plenty of people from Staunton-Waynesboro here at Briery Branch Reservoir, and you can go for a hike on the Sand Spring Mountain Trail. Yeah, come here to Briery Branch Reservoir for a pleasant time. Paddling on Little River - North R. Tributary is so much fun, and naturally Mines Run flows through this vicinity. After a long day outdoors Staunton Days Inn is a good place to spend a night or two; going for a hike on the Hone Quarry Ridge Trail is always a nice adventure.
