Breckinridge Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. If you come at the right time of year, Quantico Creek offers some nice whitewater, and Breckinridge Dam has wonderful water scenery. If you need a place to stay Ramada Inn Quantico is a tremendous choice. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Breckinridge Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Turkey Run Ridge Campground. This lake is so wonderful. to take a great little spree to North Branch Chopawamsic Creek. Summertime highs at Breckinridge Reservoir regularly tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. All through the winter this place gets
highs in the 40's with temperatures at Breckinridge Reservoir dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Near Breckinridge Reservoir you find the High Meadows Trail which is a pleasant hiking trail, and since you're here,
you could also check out lovely Carters Day Camp Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Breckinridge Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Aquia Pines Campground is a great location for that, and
do check out Breckenridge Reservoir, it's a delightful lake. Breckinridge Reservoir is a wet place that gets a lot of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and January is when it's the driest.
