High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Bowmans Pond. An interesting thing to pop by close to Bowmans Pond is Bowmans Dam, and since you're here, you could also check out lovely Clearview Lake. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place!       Bowmans Pond is excellent! Do have a look at Melody Lake right next door to Bowmans Pond, it's a lovely lake, and a trip to Booker T Washington National Monument is recommended. This lake is so wonderful. A nice site to camp here at Bowmans Pond is Rising Star Sports & Adventure, and do take a hike on the Curry Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A great nearby hotel is Quality Inn Tanglewood; Sleep Inn Tanglewood is a great spot to get some rest. The                  high level of precipitation makes Bowmans Pond a pretty wet spot; during the month of October you get the most rain around here while January is usually the driest month. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Camping is available at Beartree - George Washington National Forest, and you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the North Mountain Trail. Bowmans Pond is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Casters Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, White Oak Creek is a stream you can take a look at while here.
