Many people like to go to Bowmans Pond. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a delightful time. Bowmans Dam is worth visiting if you're here; a trip to Booker T Washington National Monument is worthwhile. Be careful coming to the Blue Ridge Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. If you come at the right time of year, Bottom Creek offers some magnificent whitewater, and don't leave Bowmans Pond without first going for a hike along

| | the North Mountain Trail. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Bowmans Pond. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Tanglewood is a delightful place to spend a night or two; there are delightful locations to look at along the Curry Creek Trail.

Creek flows through this vicinity. At Bowmans Pond through the summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter
at Bowmans Pond temperatures descend to the 20's.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Sleep Inn Tanglewood, and since you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Roanoke. Going for a hike on the Casters
Trail is always a delightful adventure, and Bowmans Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Beartree - George Washington National Forest is a fine local campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bowmans Pond
a wet place; the month of October is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest.
Bowmans Pond is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
