This lake is so wonderful. A delightful location for whitewater paddling next to Bowies Pond is North Anna River; Bowies Dam is a picturesque spot, positively worth checking out. If you're stopping by Bowies Pond from Richmond, you won't be the only one, and going for a hike on the Overland Trail is always       a glorious adventure. Man, is there a load of cool things to do right next door to Bowies Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Hidden Acres Family Campground is a good spot to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Thornburg. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Campbell Creek; you can run the rapids of Rappahannock River. Bowies Pond gets a common amount of rain; May is the month that gets the most rain;                  the driest month is February. Camping is available at Milford Koa Kampground; Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Fredericksburg South, VA is a perfect site to get some rest. This is a splendid region for folks who like lakes. Bowies Pond is a lake around here, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Gracik Trail. High temperatures at Bowies Pond during the long summer days are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 60's.
