If you are in Richmond (city) county it's always a good idea to stop by Boat Lake. Camping is available at Kosmo Village Campground, also Upper Sheilds Lake Dam is worth going to while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Richmond-Central, Va is a delightful choice; Powhite Creek is near Boat Lake and is always a pleasure to visit. | | colder of course, regularly in the 60's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 40's while Boat Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 20's.

Home Park; if you're popping by from Richmond, you won't be the only one. Get soaked paddling on James River, and do pay a visit to Prince William Forest Park if you're here at Boat Lake.
If you want to play some golf, you're
in luck because Belmont Golf Course is around here, and Boat Lake is not the only location close by, Swan Lake is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. The high level of rain makes Boat Lake a rather wet location; the month with most of the rain is August while April is ordinarily the driest month.
