After a long day outdoors Brandermill Inn And Conference Center is a brilliant location to spend a night or two; needless to say, all our national parks are good sites to go to and Prince William Forest Park is no exception. All the water falling down from the sky makes Blackheath Pond a wet place; through July this area sees the most rain while April is the month with the least amount of precipitation. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on;

Pocahontas State Park is a nice campground nearby, and Salisbury Lake Dam is not far at all from Blackheath Pond.
