This lake is so wonderful. A short visit to Calico Rapids is always worthwhile; why not camp at Valley Mill Camp while you're here at Black Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are nice sites to explore along the Gold Mine Trail, and you can run the rapids of Potomac River. Go for a hike on the Potomac Heritage Trail; dry warm beds await       you at Oakwood at Avalon Crescent. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Herndon Town Golf Course Municipal is close by, and while you're here, you could also go to beautiful Woodside Lake. Good hiking is available along the Meadow Trail, and if you need a place to stay Sheraton Premiere At Tysons Corner is a good choice. The annual rain here at Black Pond is about average; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is February.                  Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are in fact plentiful here at Black Pond. Camping is available at Christopher Run Campground, and Great Falls Estate Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. All through the warm months here at Black Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Black Pond are in the 20's. If time allows, Fort Washington Park is a national park worth checking out. There's whitewater on Difficult Run for all you adrenaline people, and you can catch a glimpse of Prospect Hill from Black Pond. You clearly must adore Black Pond.
