Beautiful Big Pond has much to offer visitors. Paddling on Johns Creek is so much fun, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the War Spur Trail. From a rain point of view Big Pond is a pretty common site; July is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is November. This lake is so wonderful. If you fancy a little side tour, try Rocky Gap, and camping at Interstate Overnight Park is always a glorious experience.

at Big Pond during the days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Big Pond temperatures drop to the
20's.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Moncove Lake State Park is a great place to do that, and whitewater paddling is great on Little Stony Creek.
