There are some good whitewater spots on Rappahannock River, and the Chopawamsic Trail offers hiking at its best. Stay the night at Aquia Pines Campground, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Little Lake Arrowhead. Lakes are glorious; Arrowhead Lake is a lake that's close       to Big Lake Arrowhead, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Farms to Forest Trail. High temperatures at Big Lake Arrowhead during the months of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Big Lake Arrowhead. Big Lake Arrowhead is a quite wet place commonly with a great deal of precipitation; during the month of August                  you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Big Lake Arrowhead. A tremendous close by hotel is Sleep Inn Fredericksburg; do take a hike on the South Valley Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Rappahannock River Campground is a nice campground nearby; get yourself into a kayak and hit Aquia Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
