There's whitewater on Catawba Creek for all you thrill seekers; camping is available at Beartree - George Washington National Forest. You'll discover a lovely lake called Falling Creek Reservoir near Beaverdam Reservoir; a tremendous close by hotel is Comfort Inn Troutville. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Hammond Hollow Trail; if you haven’t been to       Booker T Washington National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaverdam Reservoir; Spec Mines Trail is a magnificent local trail, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Sycamore Ridge Golf Club. Roanoke North Travelodge is a great place to get some rest, and get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of James River.
