Through the warm days of summer at Bark Camp Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are typically in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Bark Camp Lake descend into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything       Bark Camp Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bark Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Guest River. There's so much to do here at Bark Camp Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Flatwoods Campground is a tremendous site for that. Moore Knob is clearly visible from Bark Camp Lake, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Pine Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. For you                  golfers we recommend nearby Dan Hall Mountain Resort & Country Club, and a delightful nearby hotel is Norton Super 8 Motel. Having a tremendous time at Bark Camp Lake is easy. If you come at the right time of year, Little Stony Creek offers some wonderful whitewater; Board Tree Gap is around here, and is a wonderful place. Bark Camp Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is October. The great people of Kingsport-Bristol like to hang out nearby, and why not check out nearby Davey Land Branch if you're here at Bark Camp Lake.
