    What a nice lake Baker Springs Basin is. Having a brilliant time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is trouble-free. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Back Creek - South River Tributary, and if you came to camp Waynesboro North 340 Campground is a great spot to do that. Through the long summer days at Baker Springs Basin highs are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The wintertime  
   brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Baker Springs Basin fall into the 10's. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do in close proximity to Baker Springs Basin. Since you're here at Baker Springs Basin why not visit Jones Hollow; going for a hike on the Wildcat Ridge Trail is always a perfect adventure.

               average; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. But wait, there's more amusing stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wintergreen is a very popular ski area nearby, and close by you find the Turk Mountain Trail which is a good hiking trail.
This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Stoney Creek for all you thrill seekers, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Rockfish Run. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Waynesboro is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and camping at Kennedy Fields Campgrounds is always a brilliant experience.
While you're here at Baker Springs Basin you will meet lots of folks from nearby Staunton-Waynesboro, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Sawmill Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Waynesboro-Days Inn is a great choice, and if the weather is gorgeous, you get a tremendous vista of Copelands Tetons from Baker Springs Basin.
