All the water falling down from the sky makes Alder Lake a wet location; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. During the summertime months at Alder Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Alder Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Catoctin Mountain Park is one of the destinations near Alder Lake that are splendid to go to, and there's whitewater on Potomac River for all you adrenaline kick people. If only every place had this
much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great earth it would be. Cedar Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at; on a great day you can take a hike along the Meadow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious place to camp here at Alder Lake is Chisel Branch Campground, and a golf course nearby is Poolesville Golf Course.
