the months of summer highs here at Yellow Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Yellow Lake. This
lake is so wonderful. Soar down the rapids of Provo River in a kayak, and hiking along the Smith Morehouse Trail is wonderful fun. This place, Yellow Lake, it simply has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Lakes? Sure, Heart Lake
is close at hand, and do take a hike on the Nobletts Creek Trail. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Uinta Mountains. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Mill Hollow Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Stillwater.

After the bridge the log jams, second diversion dam and constant river splits can be fun in the right craft (13 ft raft, not recommended). Great rush!... Yeah...this river especially the lower part...really rocks.... |
