A brilliant place like Burnt Flat here at Willis Reservoir is too tremendous to miss. Going for a hike on the Smith Canyon Trail is always a glorious adventure, and a great close by hotel is Richfield Travelodge. Any time is a pleasant time at Willis Reservoir if you go for the outdoors. Monrovian Park Campground is a fine local campground, and a short journey to Mud Spring is always worthwhile.       Willis Reservoir gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently September, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. Koosharem Campground is a perfect campground nearby; in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Sevier River. Good hiking is available along the Koosharem Guard Station Scrub Flat Trail, and there are other sites here than Willis                  Reservoir, for example Voyles Pond. The peak of Langdon can be spotted from Willis Reservoir, and you can go for a hike on the Third Lefthand Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Langdon Creek is a stream that you may encounter while you're here, and not far from Willis Reservoir you'll stumble on Burnt Flat Reservoir which is a pretty lake. For the period of the warm days of summer at Willis Reservoir temperatures are frequently in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Willis Reservoir.
