There is a splendid hiking trail near Watkins Lake called the Dry Fork Trail; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Uinta River. These mountains rock, just look at all the amusing stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. Very fine water scenery is available at Cliff Lake Dam in close proximity to Watkins Lake. Lakes are glorious; Mytoge Lake is a lake that's close to Watkins Lake. So much fun stuff near Watkins       Lake, clearly striking. Go for a hike on the Shale Dugway, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Cliff Lake. Going for a hike on the Icy Hill Dugway is always a great adventure; sites like Dead Horse Park are great to have a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Inn is a nice location to get some rest, and why not camp at Paradise Campground since you're here at Watkins Lake. You absolutely have to like the                  Uinta Mountains. The summit of Mesa can be distinguished from Watkins Lake; Whiterocks Campground is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Watkins Lake is a location that is quite dehydrated typically; the month with most of the rain is May, and the driest of the months is February. At Watkins Lake during the long summer days highs are in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's.
