     Utah has many beautiful lakes and Upper Yellow Pine Lake is one of them. This lake is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Uinta Mountains. Daniels Summit Lodge is a glorious site to get some rest; Upper Yellow Pine Lake is not the only site nearby, Lower Yellow Pine Lake is a nearby lake. Upper Yellow Pine Lake is a location that is rather dried up usually; the month of April  
   is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something right next door to Upper Yellow Pine Lake? Castle Lake is in the vicinity, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Chalk Creek. That right there is plenty of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all. Don't leave Upper Yellow Pine Lake without first going for a hike
 
               along the Nobletts Creek Trail, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Stillwater is a great choice.
Good hiking is available along the Littles Fork Trail, and if you came to camp Yellow Pine Campground is a splendid location to do that. Summertime highs at Upper Yellow Pine Lake generally tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Upper Yellow Pine Lake nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Provo River offers some great whitewater, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Upper Yellow Pine Lake; Smith Morehouse Trail is a brilliant local trail.
But wait, there's more to do close to Upper Yellow Pine Lake. Camping at Beaver Creek Campground is always a good experience, and you obtain a magnificent view of Castle Peak from here.

Great ride from above Woodland to the 1000 E. bridge (which is a good scare during high water, 1500 cfs). After the bridge the log jams, second diversion dam and constant river splits can be fun in the right craft (13 ft raft, not recommended). Great rush!...
Yeah...this river especially the lower part...really rocks....
