     Twin Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Uinta Mountains. Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. Twin Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Whiterocks Campground is a good local campground; there is a great hiking trail close by called the Uinta Highline Trail. Twin Lakes gets very little rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much
 
   to do here at Twin Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Paradise Campground is a pleasant location for that, and a lake nearby is Moap Lake. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Twin Lakes. A pleasant trip to Blanchett Park is a perfect way to spend an afternoon; get yourself into a kayak and hit Uinta River. So many exciting things to do here in the Uinta Mountains, too pleasant to be true.
On a pleasant day at Twin Lakes you can take a hike along
 
               the Icy Hill Dugway, and you're sure to come across some wonderful people from Vernal here. Through the warm days of summer at Twin Lakes temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Twin Lakes. If the weather is pleasant here at Twin Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Dry Fork Trail, and Red Belly Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.

Little Elk Lake
That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that....

Chepeta Lake
Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake.  Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next.  The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since.  Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot....
