The skiing at Snowbird is glorious, and a round of golf at nearby Mick Riley Golf Course is a good way to kill some time. Turners Pond gets very little rainfall; through the month of April you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. A magnificent nearby hotel is Candlewood Suites Salt Lake City, Fort Union, Ut. If you need a location to stay Crystal Inn Midvalley is a good choice,       and Turners Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, American Land & Leisure is a glorious place to camp nearby. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Little Cottonwood Creek, and L and L Campground is a tremendous local campground. Go for a hike on the The Sheep Trail; if you're here, you could also take a look at delightful Green-Tanner Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful.                  A great location for whitewater paddling next to Turners Pond is Big Cottonwood Creek, and Alta is a glorious local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Hills Ponds close to Turners Pond, it's a pretty lake, and California National Historic Trail is a glorious local destination. Don't leave Turners Pond without first going for a hike along the Lake Desolation Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Salt Lake City here at Turners Pond. Summertime highs at Turners Pond typically tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
