Tony Grove Lake gets very little rainfall; April is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. On a glorious day at Tony Grove Lake you can take a hike along the Limber Pine Trail, and a splendid panorama of gorgeous Mount Magog is available. at Tony Grove Lake there are plenty of folks from Logan; the Bloomington Lake Trail is a good hiking trail close by. There's whitewater on Logan River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and the best way to spend a winter day
is on the slopes of close by Powder Mountain. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Wasatch Range is so good! Do stop by White Pine Lake close to Tony Grove Lake, it's a pretty lake; a short spree to Bubble Spring is always
worthwhile. Through the summertime here at Tony Grove Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 90's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Tony Grove Lake.

 | 11 miles away The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 12 miles away ...on Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge. Your can travel north or south with the south direction being the most spectacular The Highline Trail is popular with hikers, horses, mountain bikers, ATV's and motorcycles. At this point the trail is single track and has much less motorized traffic... |
