     If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Uinta Mountains. Camping is available at Brown Lake Campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Icy Hill Dugway. It is very arid here at Tepee Lakes generally; May is when you get the most rain here, and February meanwhile is the driest month. If you get bored of Tepee Lakes, you could also have a look at close by Red Lake; the Uinta Highline Trail is a perfect hiking trail nearby.
If
 
   you want a perfect time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Tepee Lakes. Tepee Lakes is located in the Uinta Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Tepee Lakes is not the only spot nearby, Hacking Lake is a nearby lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Deep Creek Campground is a wonderful place to camp.
At Tepee Lakes through the summertime highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. All through the wintertime
 
               this place gets highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Tepee Lakes temperatures dip to the 0's. Tepee Lakes is a site with many visitors from Vernal, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Dry Fork Trail.

Little Elk Lake
That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that....

Chepeta Lake

Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake.  Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next.  The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since.  Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot....
