This lake is so wonderful. Don’t forget to visit Garfield Basin if you're here at Superior Lake, and going for a hike along the High Line Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Lakes are great; Red Castle Lake is a lake that's near Superior Lake, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Blacks Fork - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the warm days of summer at Superior Lake highs are typically       in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. Through the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's with temperatures at Superior Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Not far from Superior Lake, you'll find Lower Red Castle Lake which is a charming lake, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail. But wait, there's more to do near Superior Lake. There's so much to do here at Superior Lake that                  you need to camp here for a while, Swift Creek Campground is a brilliant place for that, and Superior Lake Dam is a striking location. Just can't get enough of the Uinta Mountains. Superior Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Beaver Dam Campground is a great local campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail. Superior Lake is a location that is rather arid usually; September is the wettest month with most rain, and January is when it's the driest. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. And that's not all the things to do here in the Uinta Mountains.
