A tremendous place in close proximity to Summit Pond is Cow Canyon, and Point of Cedar Mountain is an interesting thing to catch a glimpse of while you're here. Around Summit Pond you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the neighborhood of Summit       Pond. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on San Rafael River, and a lake close by is Orsons Pond. You're sure to encounter some friendly folks from Price here, and if you're here at Summit Pond it's a tremendous idea to visit Summit Area. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful vista of pretty Cedar Mountain is available from Summit Pond; a perfect place to camp here at Summit Pond is San Rafael Bridge Campground.                  Summit Pond is not the only place nearby, Little Holes is a nearby lake, and camping at Cedar Mountain Campground is always a delightful experience. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Summit Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
