    If you are in Daggett county it's always a good idea to stop by Stove Lake. Throughout the warm days of summer at Stove Lake highs are usually in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Stove Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's. Camping is available at Flaming Gorge KOA Camping Reso, and the Dry Fork Trail offers hiking at its best. There are other  
   places here than Stove Lake, for example Pollen Lake, and there's magnificent hiking along the Icy Hill Dugway.
Stove Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. Stove Lake is regularly a pretty dehydrated place; most of the rain falls through May while February is mostly the driest month. If only every spot had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great world it would be. Stove Lake is not far at all from Vernal.
And that's not everything
 
               you can do here in the Uinta Mountains. Camping at Brown Lake Campground is always a fine experience, and not far from Stove Lake you'll stumble on Potter Lake which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Park is right here at Stove Lake, and Stove Lake is right by the Uinta Highline Trail.

Little Elk Lake
That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that....

Chepeta Lake

Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake.  Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next.  The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since.  Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot....
