to do here in the Uinta Mountains. The Fish Creek National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best; if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lake Fork. Spider Lake is one of the lakes
here in the Uinta Mountains. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Spider Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter
at Spider Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Yellowstone River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you'll possibly meet some people from Evanston here.

Toquer Lake
Great little lake, no signs of visitors, Fishing was ok. fresh worms seem to work best. This is one of those places you go to be alone. Very peaceful. This is probably my favorite place to go! My little piece of heaven! Maybe it will be yours to. Go hiking and enjoy some fishing and beautiful scenery!!!!!!...
Red Castle Lake
Nice lake, tough hike, and windy. Fished in late July, fishing was fair, but the size of the fish were between 14-19 inches. Wind was really blowing the day I fished here....
Lower Red Castle Lake
Fished this lake in late July this year. Mainly caught 8-9 inch tiger trout, along with some small Brookies, and a few rainbows up to 12 inches. Alot of fish not much size....
Continent Lake
14 miles away I went there about 15 yrs ago fishing was pretty good....
Rock Creek
15 miles away (...) The section is comprised of 3 class 3+/IV- drops with swift braided channels in between. It seldom flows since most water is diverted over to the Wasatch front from the Upper Stillwater Dam (it has to spill to be runnable.) Climatologically speaking, March is actually the month of our highest precipitation (which falls as snow, building the pack which then melts in May/June.) Most people find this section of river not nearly as rewarding as other runs in the state....
Craig Lake
16 miles away Craig lake was named by my dad in honor of his deceased son when he was employed by the Utah fish and game in about 1960....The man who named Craig lake is Max North....
Thompson Lake
18 miles away This is the most remote lake in all of the Uinta mountains. It's a hellish 1-2hr boulder-hopping steep hike to get to the lake with NO trails or places to camp. Reserved for only extreme mountaineers....
Beaver Lake
18 miles away Nice bows. Much less traveled than Whitney, next door. The real fishin' is 2 miles away though....
