And if that's not enough there's plenty more cool stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. Spider Lake is right by the High Line Trail; a pleasant visit to Garfield Basin is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. A good place to camp here at Spider Lake is Beaver Dam Campground, and lakes are such calm places, why not check out Bluebell Lake. This lake is so wonderful. All the outdoors entertaining       things near Spider Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly. Camping is available at Swift Creek Campground; Drift Lake Dam is a delightful place. Take a hike on the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail, and a striking lake like Gem Lake is a brilliant site to visit. Not much rainfall falls here at Spider Lake; through September this area sees the most rain while March is mostly the driest month. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more enjoyable things                  to do here in the Uinta Mountains. The Fish Creek National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best; if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lake Fork. Spider Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uinta Mountains. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Spider Lake. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Spider Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
