This lake is located in the wonderful Uinta Mountains. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to South Erickson Lake with nighttime lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the winter for South Erickson Lake tend to be in the 10's. It is very dried up here at South Erickson Lake regularly; the wettest month of the       year is mostly April, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is July. Looking for some flowing water? Try Erickson Creek; Lodge at Stillwater is a splendid place to get some rest. Whitewater paddling is great on Provo River; you're possibly keen on lakes, Big Elk Lake is one of those close by. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Take a hike on the Nobletts Creek Trail; a great site like Erickson Basin here at South Erickson Lake is                  too glorious to miss. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Uinta Mountains. You'll need more than a day to explore everything South Erickson Lake has to offer, you can camp at Smith and Morehouse Campground, and you can have a nice hiking adventure along the Littles Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Daniels Summit Lodge. So many enjoyable things to do in the Uinta Mountains, not sufficient time. There's some interesting stuff to make out at Big Elk Lake Dam near South Erickson Lake, and almost certainly you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Hourglass Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful.
