The Skyline National Recreation Trail is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Smiths Reservoir. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Smiths Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Circleville RV Park and Store. Throughout the summertime highs here at Smiths Reservoir get into the 80's; the night is a tad cooler       of course, regularly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Smiths Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Lakes are such calm places, why not explore Rocky Ford Reservoir right next door to Smiths Reservoir, and Sevier River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby. And if you're still looking for more outdoors fun things just keep reading. Smiths Reservoir is a nice place to visit for more than                  one day, Fats Country Cafe is a nice place to camp nearby; while you're here you can take a hike along the Rocky Ford Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A gorgeous lake like Rim Reservoir in the vicinity of Smiths Reservoir is a fine spot to stop at; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Burnt Hollow Trail. At Smiths Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest.
