Smiths Fork Pass Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The Uinta Mountains scenery is always beautiful. At Smiths Fork Pass Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's while nighttime lows are typically in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Smiths Fork Pass Lake fall into the 0's. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing

There's so much to do here at Smiths Fork Pass Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Trail Head Campground is a great place for that. A splendid site for whitewater paddling right next door to Smiths Fork Pass Lake is Blacks Fork - West Fork; going for a hike on the High Line Trail is always a magnificent adventure. Pass Lake will keep you coming back over and over. You can run the rapids of Blacks Fork - East Fork right next door to Smiths Fork Pass Lake, and don't leave Smiths Fork Pass Lake without first going for a hike along the Fish Creek
National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Smiths Fork Pass Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, China Meadows Campground is a good local campground, and the view of Mount Powell
is lovely. That right there is a lot of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all. Lakes are such serene sites, why not pop by East Red Castle Lake in close proximity to Smiths Fork Pass Lake, and there
are great places to discover along the Bear River Smiths Fork Trail. Smiths Fork Pass Lake is a location that is pretty waterless typically; the wettest month of the year is generally September, that's the one that rains the most,
and January is when it's the driest. A stunning lake like Lower Red Castle Lake close to Smiths Fork Pass Lake is a perfect spot to visit; if you wish for a little side visit, try Smiths Fork Pass.

 | Fished this lake in late July this year. Mainly caught 8-9 inch tiger trout, along with some small Brookies, and a few rainbows up to 12 inches. Alot of fish not much size.... |

Rock Creek
 | 19 miles away (...) The section is comprised of 3 class 3+/IV- drops with swift braided channels in between. It seldom flows since most water is diverted over to the Wasatch front from the Upper Stillwater Dam (it has to spill to be runnable.) Climatologically speaking, March is actually the month of our highest precipitation (which falls as snow, building the pack which then melts in May/June.) Most people find this section of river not nearly as rewarding as other runs in the state.... |
