Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Chalk Creek, and Smith and Morehouse Reservoir is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Smith and Morehouse Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Smith and Morehouse Reservoir is peerless! The Nobletts Creek Trail is a great hiking trail next to Smith       and Morehouse Reservoir, and Smith and Morehouse Dam is a delightful place. On a tremendous day at Smith and Morehouse Reservoir you can take a hike along the Smith Morehouse Trail, and Lodge at Stillwater is a good spot to get some rest. Box Canyon is a fine spot to visit close by. High temperatures at Smith and Morehouse Reservoir through the warm days of summer are in the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. Daytime highs all                  through the winter are in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Smith and Morehouse Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Do set aside some time for Mud Lake Flat since you're here at Smith and Morehouse Reservoir, and West Shingle Creek Lake is a glorious lake nearby. Take a side spree to Bear Trap Creek, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Notch Mountain Trail.
