If you come at the right time of year, Weber River offers some great whitewater, and camping is available at Cherry Hill Recreation Park. Lots of people from Ogden-Clearfield come to Smith Creek Lakes, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the The Sheep Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Wasatch Range       for a good time. Best Western Canyon Pines is a wonderful site to get some rest, and California National Historic Trail is one of the destinations that are good to visit close by. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Valley View Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Skyline Trail. Smith Creek Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Wasatch Range. Be careful coming to the Wasatch Range,                  you might not ever want to go back home again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Ogden River, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Bountiful is a good location to spend a night or two. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do close to Smith Creek Lakes. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Wolf Mountain, and you're in all probability interested in lakes, Farmington Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are perfect; Wilkinson Reservoir is a lake that's in close proximity to Smith Creek Lakes, and camping at Lagoon's RV Park and Campground is always a great experience. Summertime highs at Smith Creek Lakes usually tend to be in the 90's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Smith Creek Lakes. Smith Creek Lakes is pretty dried out mostly; April is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
