Slide Lake

Going for a hike along the Highline Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Don't leave Slide Lake without going to Ashley National Forest, and since you're here, you could stop at Fish Creek. Rock Creek has a nearby whitewater section; the Upper Stillwater Dam to Route 134 section is a great 5-mile-long class II-V section of whitewater. You are projected to get covered with water raft paddling this section of Rock Creek, so you should
be prepared for that. You should check circumstances prior to departure; raft paddling could become dangerous. You absolutely have to adore Slide Lake.
