Summertime highs at Shiner Reservoir generally tend to be in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs       are generally in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at Shiner Reservoir temperatures dip to the 0's. Bear Wallow is a beautiful location any time of year, and there's whitewater on Green River for all you adrenaline junkies. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Daniels Trail, and Lazy K Motel is a nice location to get some rest. Stay the night at Split Mountain Gorge Campground; there are plenty of people from Vernal here. Shiner                  Reservoir is located in the Uinta Mountains. All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Uinta Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. There's so much to do here at Shiner Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Rainbow Park Campground is a delightful location for that. Around Shiner Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rainfall; April is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is January. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uinta Mountains.
