All year is a good time in the Wasatch Range if you adore the outdoors. Lakes are such calm locations, why not have a look at Goring Pond in the neighborhood of Selman Reservoir, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Logan River. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |

Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 12 miles away ...l and Bloomington Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon.
