Be careful coming to the Uinta Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. The Bear River Smiths Fork Trail is a magnificent hiking trail in the vicinity of Sawmill Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Blacks Fork - East Fork offers some magnificent whitewater. At Sawmill Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and winter

Sawmill Lake is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Trail Head Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby, and nearby you stumble on the Shale Dugway which is a nice hiking trail. There are plenty of people from Evanston here at Sawmill Lake; a pretty lake like Bear Lake is a brilliant location to have a look at. You'll need more than | |

a day to look at everything Sawmill Lake has to offer, you can camp at China Meadows Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Yellowstone River. Sawmill Lake is located in the
Uinta Mountains. Sawmill Lake gets very little precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally September, that's the one that rains the most, and January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. On a
glorious day at Sawmill Lake you can take a hike along the High Line Trail, and you'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Grass Lake. That right there is heaps of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Uinta Mountains has it all.
