Sand Lake is located in the Uinta Mountains. Camping is available at Spirit Lake Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Inn. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the Uinta Mountains. Hiking along the Shale Dugway is great fun, and paddling on Uinta River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Icy Hill Dugway, and there's always Whiterocks       Lake Dam to stop at in close proximity to Sand Lake. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Sand Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sand Lake. Sand Lake is right by the Dry Fork Trail, and why not camp at Paradise Campground while you're here at Sand Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Sand Lake.                  You could also visit Dollar Lake while you're here at Sand Lake; it's close by.
