After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Payson is a fine spot to spend a night or two, and get your heart beating on the perfect whitewater of Spanish Fork. If you adore the outdoors, you'll adore Salem Lake. You can run the rapids of Provo River close to Salem Lake; lakes are such peaceful sites, why not check out Grimes Pond. For the duration of the warm months here at Salem Lake, high temperatures frequently get into       the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Salem Lake are in the 10's. Going for a hike along the Summit Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and dry warm beds await you at Springville Days Inn. If the weather is nice here at Salem Lake, you can go for a hike along the Nebo Peak Trail. Loafer Canyon is a good spot to check out close by,                  and Salem Lake is a place with many visitors from Provo-Orem. Around Salem Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is commonly April, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. East Bay RV Park is a delightful campground nearby, and what would winter be without some skiing at Sundance. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Nebo Basin Trail is nice fun; in the vicinity of Salem Lake you stumble on a golf course called Gladstan Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful.
