The Nebo Basin Trail is a magnificent hiking trail next to Salamander Lake, and Salamander Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Nephi Koa Kampground is a delightful local campground. Not far from Salamander Lake, you'll locate Red Lake which is a pretty lake, and swing by Gibson Creek it's a good location to explore. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Salamander Lake called the Nebo Peak Trail, and

| | if you came to camp Maple Bench Campground is a pleasant place to do that. High temperatures at Salamander Lake through the months of summer are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's; through the dark hours in the winter at Salamander Lake temperatures dip to the 10's. Lake has to offer. What would a place like Salamander Lake be without exciting nearby highlights like Nebo Bench; you can run the rapids of Spanish Fork. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Salamander Lake,
for example Lizard Lake, and Best Western Paradise Inn Of Nephi is a great place to get some rest. You're sure to come across some good people from Provo-Orem here. Salamander Lake gets very little rainfall; April is the month
that gets the most rain; January on the other hand is the driest. The sight of gorgeous Bald Mountain near Salamander Lake is great, and Bellows Hollow is another pleasant site to stop by nearby. Near Salamander Lake you find the Willow Trail which is a great hiking trail; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Payson is a great choice.
