Salamander Lake is not the only location nearby, Red Lake is a nearby lake, and paddling on Spanish Fork is so much fun. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Salamander Lake; Willow Trail is a good local trail, and why not camp at Maple Bench Campground while you're here at Salamander Lake. One of the overriding characteristics of the surroundings of Salamander Lake is Bald Mountain, and       if you need a place to stay Best Western Paradise Inn Of Nephi is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Bellows Hollow is a great place to go if you're at Salamander Lake, and during your visit here you'll meet some people from Provo-Orem for sure. Any time is a perfect time at Salamander Lake if you fancy the outdoors. Interesting geology is available here; Nebo Bench is near Salamander Lake; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Payson.                  Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Salamander Lake; the night is fairly chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Salamander Lake temperatures drop to the 10's. Good hiking is available along the Nebo Basin Trail, and if you're here, you could pop by Gibson Creek. There's good hiking along the Nebo Peak Trail; Nephi Koa Kampground is a wonderful local campground.
