You'll need more than a day to discover everything Rush Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cedar Canyon - Dixie National Forest, and a wonderful vista of pretty Black Point is available. Take a hike on the Rattlesnake Creek Trail, and people from Cedar City love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Cedar City is a glorious choice, and hiking along the Alpine       Pond Trail is splendid fun. All through the long summer days at Rush Lake highs are ordinarily in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's; nighttime lows at Rush Lake through the winter generally dip into the 10's. There's so much to do here at Rush Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Te-Ah - Dixie National Forest is a nice place for that, and dry warm beds await you                  at Cedar City Travelodge. The slopes of Brian Head are so inviting noone can resist, and do have a look at Braffits Creek since you're here at Rush Lake. This lake is so wonderful. That right there is plenty already, but it carries on; Rush Lake has it all. A fine site close to Rush Lake is Cedar Valley, and Cedar Breaks National Monument is a great local destination.
