If the weather is great here at Rush Lake, you can go for a hike along the Alpine Pond Trail; a picturesque lake like North Spring Reservoir is a fine place to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Cedar City come to Rush Lake, and Cedar Canyon - Dixie National Forest is a pleasant local campground. Summertime highs at Rush Lake generally tend to be in the 90's while overnight lows       are frequently in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Rush Lake. Nearby Cedar Valley is a great place to go if you're at Rush Lake; on a lovely day you obtain a pleasant panorama of Black Point from Rush Lake. Rush Lake gets very little rainfall; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here; June is the month with the least moisture.
