Go for a hike on the Fish Creek National Recreation Trail, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Cottonwood Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Sure, Little Madsen Reservoir is around here. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Rolfson Reservoir. Don't leave Rolfson Reservoir without first going for a hike along the CCC Trail, and a tremendous spot to camp here at Rolfson Reservoir is Forks of Huntington Campground. For the duration of the months of summer here at Rolfson Reservoir, high temperatures usually reach the 80's, and throughout                  summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's while Rolfson Reservoir night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Huntington Reservoir is a splendid lake in the neighborhood of Rolfson Reservoir; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Huntington Creek. Take a little visit to Miller Flat Creek since you're here at Rolfson Reservoir, and the scenery at Rolfson Reservoir Dam is striking.
