A visit to Rockport Lake is always a good idea. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Wasatch Range, too great to be true. If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on East Canyon Creek, and there's always Wanship Dam to stop by near Rockport Lake. All through the summer here at Rockport Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime

Jordanelle State Park is a great campground nearby, and perfect hiking is available along the Union Pacific Rail Trail. and the The Sheep Trail offers hiking at its best. The Canyons is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and dropping by California National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.

After the bridge the log jams, second diversion dam and constant river splits can be fun in the right craft (13 ft raft, not recommended). Great rush!... Having 2,200 acres of skiable territory being deficient in terrain won’t happen. The great snow here turns very deep, 42 feet yearly, and that is one of the reasons this is such a fine ski mountain. This ski hill has 7 ski lifts and 4 surface tows, and they are competently maintained and operated by friendly people.
Alta has a reasonable set of trails and an acceptable amount of good ski lifts. This is a nice ski area with lots of different trails; it's totally impossible to get bored here. Alta is a good size ski resort boasting an average elevation difference compared to other US Rockies ski resorts. Alta is skiing only, snowboards are not allowed. The snow-white hills of Utah are something you can’t pass up if you're keen on snowboarding or skiing. On this hill you'll discover 54 different ski trails; it's a magnificent set.
