    The beauty of Rock Lake is reason enough to stop by. While you're here at Rock Lake you can take a hike along the Boulder Mail Trail, naturally you could also go to Tule Lakes if you're here; it's not far at all. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things right next door to Rock Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Wonderland Inn. Stay the night at Escalante State Park, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Black Burn Trail.
At Rock Lake you
 
   don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most while February is usually the driest month. There's so much to do here at Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Barker Reservoir Campground is a great place for that, and do put some time aside to spend at Hog Ranch Spring if you're here at Rock Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is wonderful here at Rock Lake, you can  
               go for a hike along the Hole-in-the-Rock Road; possibly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Posy Lake is just a very short distance away.
For the duration of the summertime months here at Rock Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Rock Lake.
