    If you are in this part of Utah make sure to pay a visit to Redmond Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salina Creek, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Shaheen Motel is a pleasant choice. At Redmond Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 90's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 30's with  
   winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Redmond Lake. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Salina Scenic Hills is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and Redmond Dam is not far at all from Redmond Lake.
If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Redmond Lake. If you came to camp Okerlund Campground is a great site to do that, and while you're here, you could also go to scenic Olsen Slough. There's magnificent hiking along the Oak Belt
 
               Trail, and Willow Creek Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop at.
Around Redmond Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; October is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. First Red Knoll is uncomplicated to spot from Redmond Lake, and camping at Don's Texaco Trailer Park is always a pleasant experience.
