You'll find a beautiful lake called Walker Creek Reservoir near Red Lake; after a long day outdoors Super 8 Blanding is a nice location to spend a night or two. At Red Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 90's, and throughout the night it cools down       to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Red Lake. Lakes are such calm sites, why not stop by Cottonwood Lake close to Red Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Sand Island Campground; there are some nice whitewater spots on San Juan River.
