Raft Lake is a location that is quite arid usually; March is when you get the most rain here, and June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. The Stair Trail is a good hiking trail near Raft Lake. Fremont River is a magnificent whitewater spot in close proximity to Raft Lake; on a delightful       day you acquire a glorious view of Geyser Peak from Raft Lake. Elk Campground is a fine campground nearby, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Capitol Reef Resort. That right there is heaps already, but it carries on; Raft Lake has it all. Elkhorn Campground is a great local campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Jackson Dugway. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Hens Peak Spring will fill your soul with delightful feelings,                  and a lake close by is Heart Lake. Visiting Capitol Reef National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Meadow Gulch Salt Gulch Trail. High temperatures at Raft Lake throughout the summer months are in the 90's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, typically in the 50's.
