This lake is so wonderful. Summer at Race Track Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. All through the winter highs are usually in the 40's while Race Track Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. stay Dalton Spring Campground is a splendid site to camp. Not much rainfall falls here at Race Track Reservoir; October is the wettest month with most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Monticello Lake is close to Race Track Reservoir, and do take a hike on the Delicate Arch Trail.
