There's so much to do here at Purple Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rimrock Rustic Inn is a great location for that. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff to do are really plentiful here at Purple Lake. Squaw Spring is a pretty location to go to while you're at Purple Lake; great hiking is available along the Boulder Mail Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day       to look at everything Purple Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blue Spruce Campground; a great nearby hotel is Wonderland Inn. You'll come across a stunning lake called Row Lakes near Purple Lake, and there are brilliant places to look at along the Pollywog Lake Trail. High temperatures at Purple Lake through the summer months are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and                  winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Purple Lake. Not much precipitation falls here at Purple Lake; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February.
