If you are in Beaver county it's always a good idea to stop by Puffer Lake. All through the warm days of summer at Puffer Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Puffer Lake drop into the 10's. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Puffer Lake;

| | Tushar Trail is a great local trail, and camping is available at City Creek Campground. If you need a spot to stay Bunkhouse Motel is a brilliant choice.
There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Elk Meadows, also Puffer Lake Dam is worth checking out since you're here. Good hiking is available along the Skyline National Recreation Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Kents Lake Campground is a tremendous site to camp. City Creek Peak is | |

pretty and can be made out from Puffer Lake, and places like Big Flat are wonderful to stop by.
This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Butch Cassidy's Hideout Motel, and there's some flowing water nearby, Beetle Creek
is a stream you can stop by while you're here. If you come at the right time of year, Sevier River offers some pleasant whitewater; there's good hiking along the Bullion Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak
and hit Clear Creek, and not far from Puffer Lake you'll find Mirror Lake which is a scenic lake.
Around Puffer Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June.
