You'll need more than a day to explore everything Posy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Escalante State Park, and after a long day outdoors Wonderland Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Stay the night at Blue Spruce Campground, and Posy Lake is not the only place close by, Auger Hole Lake is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are perfect locations to look at along the Hole-in-the-Rock       Road; Deep Creek Spring 1 is an inspiring spot to visit while here. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Posy Lake. Going for a hike on the Boulder Mail Trail is always a glorious adventure. If you're interested in cool geologic highlights, try John Allen Bottom, and you can go for a hike on the Pollywog Lake Trail. Posy Lake is pretty arid typically; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and                  February is the month with the least moisture. All through the summertime here at Posy Lake, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
