    Many people like to go to Paul Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Shale Dugway, and Uinta River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby. All year is a wonderful time in the Uinta Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Whiterocks Campground is a magnificent local campground, and from Paul Lake you get a fine panorama of Mesa. Through the summertime months at Paul Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's.  
   For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Paul Lake.
Blanchett Park is a tremendous place, and a lake nearby is Kibah Lakes. Paul Lake is located in the Uinta Mountains. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Uinta Mountains. Best Western Inn is a great location to get some rest.
Take a hike on the
 
               Dry Fork Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Paradise Campground is a nice spot to camp. Paul Lake is pretty dry commonly; through May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Hiking along the Icy Hill Dugway is nice fun; if you get bored of Paul Lake you could also pop by nearby Little Elk Lake.

Little Elk Lake
That's a pretty tough road to get there. I'd say about 4 miles in, but lots of big rocks. Great views though. We took ATV's up and it was a fairly unremarkable ride. We did see a couple of 4WD Trucks headed up too. Good scenery up top. I'd like to camp there and hang out. We didn't fish. It doesn't look really good for that....

Chepeta Lake
Chepeta is a very hit or miss lake.  Fishing can be absolutely dead one day and sweet the next.  The water was crazy low two summers ago and there may not even be a lot of fish left unless they've planted it since.  Worth the trip though -- if one lake is cold another will be hot....
